Heraux: This Anti-Inflammaging Serum Can Teach Your Skin How to Heal Itself

Meet Heraux (pronounced hero), this luxury serum that just might save your skin.

Do you believe in holy grail skincare products? You know, that one product that does all your bidding for beautiful skin? I never did. Skincare works as a system, and while I might favor one product over the others, I don’t believe that one product all on its own can really give your skin everything, right?

I believed this until recently when I got my hands on Heraux’s Molecular Anti-Inflammaging Serum, tried it for 4 weeks, and saw this serum do some serious work when it came to not only helping with my acne but in actually helping my skin improve on its own over time.

What is Anti-Inflammaging?

Before I get into how this serum helped appease some seriously stubborn acne of mine, let’s go over this term, anti-inflammaging, because I’m sure you haven’t really seen it around. A new term in the skincare world, inflammaging refers to the cycle of inflammation and aging. As we get older, inflammation contributes to aging and vice versa. Our bodies find it harder to calm down inflammation, prolonged inflammation can increase the signs of aging, and that aging, in turn, makes it harder for our bodies to calm down inflammation. Seems like an unbreakable loop, right?

Nope! All you need is something to break that pattern, something to help your skin tap into its regenerative properties, something like Heraux’s HX-1 molecule, the star of Heraux’s serum.

Meet The HX-1 Molecule, Your Skin’s New Savior

When it comes to skincare, we all love learning about the hero ingredients that promise us glowing beautiful skin. In the case of Heraux, they have a hero molecule that is pro-generative, meaning it can actually help your skin regenerate itself. In their words:

Patented and exclusive to Heraux, HX-1 is a proven anti-inflammaging hero that is at the core of our products. The technology was originally discovered in stem cell labs in Los Angeles as a way to regenerate cartilage in knee joints by inducing progenerative pathways while reducing molecular stressors that promote cartilage degeneration.

So remember that aging and inflammation cycle I mentioned above? HX-1 basically disrupts that pattern and introduces new pathways of healing to your cells. Whew! If you’re going to stan a holy grail product, let it be this one!

In Heraux’s serum, HX-1 is supported by other health-promoting skincare ingredients like Hyaluronic acid, Vitamin C, Peptides, and Red Maple Bark Extract.

My Heraux Report: Calming stubborn redness and creating resilient skin

My experience using Heraux’s Molecular Anti-Inflammaging Serum has been nothing short of surprising, awe-inspiring, and, honestly, gratuitous. I incorporated this serum into my routine after having learned about the product itself from the founders, so my expectations were definitely high!

At the time of starting this serum, I was 7 weeks into a derm-prescribed regimen to target my hormonal acne; it consisted of a salicylic acid face wash, a simple CeraVe moisturizer, and Epiduo Forte (prescription adapalene and benzoyl peroxide gel).

My 7 weeks using Epiduo proved helpful for combatting incredibly stubborn comedones, but my skin was so raw and easily inflamed. I would often have red, cystic pimples that were painful to the touch pop up out of nowhere. I felt stuck in my options because Epiduo was the only thing helping my acne but it was simultaneously creating a highly sensitive environment for my skin, inadvertently causing more acne. So I really looked to Heraux to be my hero (pun intended 😉) and break this inflammatory cycle of mine!

Heraux Molecular Anti-Inflammaging Serum and Moon Juice's Plump Jelly to rescue my retinoid damaged skin

I initially just added the serum to my already existing routine and for the first two weeks, I saw a difference in the redness and rawness of my skin. However, pesky inflamed pimples were still popping up to the surface, and I knew I had to let go of my retinoid, the Epiduo. I was scared to stop using it for fear that my acne would come back with a vengeance, but I figured if anything, I would be giving Heraux a fair chance to do its thing. And you guys, it did not disappoint.

Removing Epiduo from my routine made a HUGE difference in the inflammation of my skin. After two more weeks of using Heraux and adding another moisturizing serum (Moon Juice’s Plump Jelly) into my routine to repair all the damage my Epiduo had done to my skin barrier, the difference I saw in my skin was absolutely amazing. While I still had dark spots, the tone of my skin improved majorly, as well as its texture, and especially the redness. I truly felt like my skin was bouncing back to its younger, more resilient days when I could put anything on it with little to no consequences. If there was ever a serum to call a holy grail, I have no doubt that it is this one.
