Understanding Cruelty-Free Brands

Cruelty-free products are free from animal cruelty. Brands that have not engaged in animal testing for their products can stamp this claim on their packaging, labeling, website, or marketing campaign. Cruelty-free brands will often already be vegan, but not always.

Cruelty-Free companies will generally possess approval from one (or more) of the following organizations OR we have done additional work to confirm their practices separately:

• Leaping Bunny (US & International)
• Korean Animal Rights Advocates (KARA)
• Japan Anti-Vivisection Association (JAVA)
