The Pre & Post Workout Routine You Need in Your LifePin

Whether you like to get a mile or two down early in the morning or like to blow off some steam with a workout at the end of the day, one thing remains the same: pre and post-workout skincare is sooooo important! For one, having clean, SPF-covered skin before your workout is a MUST to protect against UV damage and to prevent pre-workout dirt and makeup from wreaking havoc on your skin. Secondly, once you complete your workout, you want to make sure you’re cleansing of all the sweat and gunk you may have accumulated during the deed, because duh—no one likes a sweaty face.

The main thing to focus on in both of these routines is keeping it simple and effective. Here are the products I recommend!

PRE-WORKOUT ROUTINE

  1. Gentle Oil Cleanser

    I try to work out in the mornings, so I like to use a gentle oil cleanser like the cult-fave DHC Deep Cleansing Oil. It removes all of the leftover products from my nighttime routine and gets my skin supple and squeaky clean.

  2. Toner

    I use this Heritage Rose Water as a toner because it does wonders for keeping my skin fresh and moisturized. It’s truly my holy grail—and everyone needs to incorporate it into their routine stat.

  3. Sunscreen

    Last, but definitely not least, I use Neutrogena’s Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch SPF 100. I go straight into SPF and skip a moisturizer because I wear a mask while working out and that retains the moisturize in my skin (thank you TikTok for this info!). I also don’t want to waste product because I’ll wash this all off in my post-workout routine!

POST-WORKOUT ROUTINE

  1. Gentle Creamy Cleanser

    At this point, I’m obviously very sweaty, so I like to cleanse my post-run skin with La Roche Posay’s Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser. It’s honestly been a staple in my routine for a while because it’s so gentle and moisturizing.

  2. Toner

    I then go in with my Heritage Rose Water toner (yes, again!) because I can’t complete my routine without it.

  3. Eye Cream

    Trust me when I say the Glossier Bubblewrap Eye + Lip Plumping cream is life-changing. It plumps and moisturizes my undereye area, so I look awake and well-rested.

  4. Moisturizer

    COSRX’s Hyaluronic Acid Intensive Cream is my all-time fave moisturizer for dry skin. Trust me on this one!

  5. Sunscreen

    I finish my skin off with my sunscreen after I let my moisturizer seep in a little. Gentle reminder: Sunscreen is a must even if you’re inside all day!
