I can’t even begin to explain just how much I love SOL de Janeiro. When I ordered this carnival extravaganza set it was like Christmas in September. I literally just stared at it for about an hour, dipping my finger in about every ten minutes, for another dab of Bum Bum cream.

This SOL de Janeiro – BrazilianBum Bum cream has the nicest silky texture ever! I love using this when going out to smell absolutely delicious!
One thing is that the smell stays throughout the day and you can REALLY smell it so if you have a sensitive nose, don’t use this at night while you sleeping haha! Most people adores its longevity and the absence of a sticky feeling upon application.

I tried Bum Bum cream when Sol de Janeiro first landed at Sephora in the Spring of 2016, & been hooked ever since. I’ve barely dabbled in other body creams since first trying & I used to like to change up scents frequently, but the combination of lasting fragrance/moisture has me set for life🌴

I was initially drawn to this because it was the first beauty product i had seen containing Guaraná. 🥤I was familiar with the Braziliansoda of the same name… because it’s sheer insanity.☕️Guaraná seeds have 2-5x the amount of caffeine of coffee! Caffeine stimulates circulation!
In regards to cellulite prevention: Over 4 years of use, & still have none at 32!🥥🌰It’s so nourishing & moisturizing with Coconut Oil & Cupuaçu Butter. Full of fatty-acids, Phytosterols & Polyphenols to lock in hydration & restore skin’s elasticity.

It’s definitely complex, warm & sweet. The secrets obviously been out because everyone wears this, but over the years I’ve never gotten so many compliments & inquires about my scent as I do with Bum Bum. Pronounced “Boom Boom” by the way☺️
I would describe it as a buttercream & roasted nuts, without being overly sweet.
I love that I smell amazing even the next day after using this. The slight shimmer has always been a plus for me, & has never messed up my clothes (& I’m very particular about that) The finish isn’t shiny, & it absorbs really well.
I absolutely adore the scent of this. It’s like a tropical caramel smell. I always use this after I get out the shower. It makes my skin super soft and smelling so yummy all day. When I apply it, it doesn’t have that weird sticky feeling on my hands right after plus it absorbs into my skin pretty quick. Sometimes I apply a little on the sides of my neck (kinda like a perfume) and it keeps me smelling good all day! I have the 25ml size that came in a Sephora play box and I will definitely get the full size.
SOL de Janeiro – Brazilian Bum Bum Cream I got this one as a sample and it smells amazing! I use it as hand cream and it gets the job done. Wish it was more moisturizing but I’ve got multiple hand cream products here😝

This smells like a very rich cocoa butter (just to give an idea of the scent) I got mine from Sephora and used it to the last drop! I was literally scraping the bottom. It left my skin feeling silky soft and helped my stretch marks a lot! I got compliments everywhere I went about how good I smelled as well! Overall a 10/10 and I WILL be purchasing this smelly good fav again in the bigger container.

When I applied this cream it melted into my skin. What shocked me the most is how silky smooth it left my skin ! Still I can’t wrap my mind around paying 50 for it but I would purchase the mini to keep in my purse as a on the lotion. I can run through lotion/ body cream so I would waste money buying jars on top of jars of this.

SOL de Janeiro – Brazilian Bum Bum cream Smells like a tropical paradise due to its key notes: Salted Caramel, Pistachio & Vanilla. Beautiful but not overpowering scent for a summer body or 🍑 cream. It’s best known for it’s scent obviously and for it’s properties that will tighten and smooth the skin. As I have only used this a few times it’s hard to tell if my skin looked tighter and more firm, I wouldn’t be able to say if I’ve noticed a difference.
🔆It contains Cupuaçu Butter which is a soft butter that melts into the skin.
🔆 2 acids (that are in Cupuaçu) Oleic and Lauric are known to help prevent dry skin, wrinkles, & restore flexibility and elasticity to the skin.🧡 Gave it a 4/5 because 45$ is pricey for a body cream as there are loads of other creams priced around 10$ that will help tighten stretch marks and things like that. I suppose it’s priced that way because it is a trendy product and lots of people are buying it. (And here’s thing: I don’t blame them, I probably would purchase the full size 8.1 oz purely because of its scent!) 🧡
