This Ceramide Mochi Toner does wonders for me

Today, I’m going to review the TonyMoly Mochi Toner. The actual product name is TonyMoly Wonder Ceramide Mochi Toner (previously known as Mocchi Toner – different spelling).

Ceramide is an ingredient that helps maintain skin balance. You may have seen many beauty products in the market with ceramide ingredients. I used about two bottles of Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Cream before, and this is my first time using a toner with ceramide in it.

This gentle, hypoallergenic toner also contains hyaluronic acid and Asian pennywort extract. It can help soften the texture of the skin, provides calming hydration, and detoxifies impurities for brighter, cleaner skin.

Actually, I’ve heard about TonyMoly Mochi Toner before. It’s quite well known and popular. The toner comes in a 500ml container, which is huge. I didn’t know until it was delivered because I only saw the photos on websites before that point.

Texture

I know by the name of the toner, you would think it’s sticky. No, it isn’t. But it’s not completely watery either. It’s a very moisturizing texture. Interestingly enough, it is absorbed really well as soon as you put it on your face. Then afterward I would feel my face turn baby soft.

Tonymoly ceramide mochi toner review texture

I have mild skin trouble and an abundance of oil in my T-zone. It moisturizes and nourishes dry skin.
I’ve been using it for about 2 months. I felt that my skin feels really good so far and that it wasn’t heavy even though I started in the summer.

Personally, I transfer the toner to a smaller empty bottle for day-to-day use. Otherwise, it’s a really large bottle to handle.

Moisturizing power

If you put on a bit more of this toner, I think some people can get away with not putting on any lotion or cream after. But if you start to apply a few layers of this, then it becomes stickier and you will likely feel it’s too oily by then.

I do apply cream after most of the time since that’s how I prefer it.

Scent

It smells almost the same as TonyMoly’s green tea line.  Some may say it’s like a fresh herb scent. I feel it smells like light citrus. So I think people either like it or hate it. The good thing is it doesn’t linger a long time either way.

How to use this:

One of the methods they suggest is the 7-skin method. When did the 7-skin method start to become popular? I don’t know, but I’ve been wondering about it so I bought this toner to try it.

I was very diligent in the first 2 weeks. I bought this mochi toner. I was ready to do it.  However, after 2 weeks I was back to my normal skincare routine.

Another way to use it is to soak enough toner on several cotton pads and lay them on your face. It does a good job of soothing troubled skin or redness in hot weather.

Overall, here’s what I think of the TonyMoly Wonder Ceramide Mochi Toner:

Pros

1. Super good price for the large bottle (in case you don’t have the budget to spend on more expensive products);

2. No harmful ingredients (I’m allergic, but I’ve never had any trouble);

3. Use with wipes or use the 7-skin toner (search if you don’t know what it is)

Cons

1. The container is very bulky and can be inconvenient;

2. It may be a bit hard to dispense the toner onto cotton pads – won’t matter if you just apply it with your hands.

3. This product keeps going out of stock online.
