I have dry skin and experience the occasional breakout. My routine changes regularly as I go through products and open new ones.
THAYER’S – Alcohol-Free Witch Hazel Facial Toner
Step 1- I apply the Thayers witch hazel toner to a cotton pad then apply to my face. I don’t cleanse in the morning because I don’t feel the need to, and cleansing too frequently dries my skin out. I like this toner a lot for the morning. It’s gentle and refreshing. It cleans any residue from sleeping, helps fight inflammation, and soothes the skin.

GLOW RECIPE – Pineapple-C Bright Serum
Step 2- I apply one generous size drop of pineapple bright vitamin C serum. Vitamin C is so important in a routine. It helps brighten skin and lighten dark spots and hyperpigmentation. I’m enjoying this serum a lot as well. It almost has an oily feeling to it which my dry skin loves, it absorbs the serum very quickly. I also love the slight natural pineapple scent.
GOOD MOLECULES – Silicone Free Priming Moisturizer
Step 3- Moisturizer: I am a huge fan of this Good Molecules silicone free moisturizer. The silicone-free formula allows for really nice absorption into the skin, you can tell that it doesn’t just sit on top of the skin it actually sinks in. It provides a nice base for applying makeup. In the super dry months of winter, I did notice that this may not have been as moisturizing as I would have liked because I would get a dry feeling mostly around the eyes but as the weather changes that feeling has disappeared.
DERMALOGY by NEOGENLAB UVA/UVB, SPF50/PA+++
Step 4- a very important step is sunscreen! It’s very important for me to find a sunscreen that isn’t drying, I’ve tried a few that were loaded with alcohol that made my face feel so dry after a few hours. Originally I went for the COSRX snail essence SPF 50 (as I had included in the picture). I liked it because it layered well over my moisturizer and under makeup. It dried fairly matte and leaves no white cast behind.
But they no longer sell it and I replaced it with an equally good Korean sunscreen that’s SPF50+, but more importantly, also has moisturizing function. The Dermalogy sunscreen does not leave a white cast either, which I am happy about.
Stay tuned I will share one of my PM routines this week as well!
