I’ve seen a few of you beauties (shout out @madihomewoodand @Mallory♥) posting about your power lip colours, and here I am to share mine! These are colours that make you feel powerful, beautiful, and like your best self, ready to take on the world.
I’ve always been a fan of a red lip – I got super interested in pin-up and burlesque culture at a young age, so it was only natural that this classic colour became my favourite to wear. I’ve experimented with every formula under the sun and found what works best for which situation, as well as discovering just how many shades of red are out there. It’s crazy what a difference just a slight undertone can make!

I don’t necessarily have one top favourite product when it comes to a red lip, but here are a few that I find myself reaching for most often:
✨ Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in “Cruella”
– This is a neutral-toned, medium-dark red. It has a matte finish and almost acts as a stain even when you’ve taken it off. $35CAD.
✨ MAC Matte Lipstick in “Russian Red”
– A cult classic! With blue undertones and a matte finish, this red will flatter nearly everyone. $24CAD.
✨ KVD Vegan Beauty Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in “Outlaw”, “Nahz Fur Atoo”, and “Project Chimps (discontinued)”
– All of these reds are slightly different, ranging from almost brick/deep terracotta, to a warm medium-dark, to a bright, blue-red. They have a matte finish and will stay. all. day. without a doubt! $28CAD.
I love all of these products so much, but am always searching for another to add to my (probably too big…lol) collection of reds. 💸
