My brow powder collection + Reviews

You ever realized how many of the same products you’ve accumulated over the years just from different brands? I wanted to start a new series going through my make-up collection and giving reviews based on products in the same category. First up, one of the smallest I have- brow powders.

For this, I only have two but I feel like it’s two of the biggest brow companies in the game right now.

ABH vs Benefit.

First up, Benefit (which spoiler, is the clear winner). I’m using the benefit – Brow Zings Eyebrow Shaping Kit which did get discontinued but they came out with a larger kit with the same formula in place of it. This compact originally sold for $32 and you for a brow powder, a brow wax, and a cute comparable dual-sized brow brush.

Famous pocket-size eyebrow kit is NEW & improved! Brow zings’ perfectly paired eyebrow powder & wax, mini slant tweezers and NEW dual-sided extendable applicator are everything you need to sculpt, shape and fill brows.

Oddly enough this brow brush is the best one I’ve ever used. I’m not usually a fan of brushes in compacts but the way this brush is tint and slim makes it so easy to apply the powder. I also really like the flatter end to dip into concealer to clean up my brows. I find this brow powder looks the most flattering on me with no fallout and doesn’t fade throughout the day. I don’t use the wax in this only because I use the Benefit Gimmie Brow instead but from a powder standpoint this is the best I’ve found.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo is a two-shade brow powder compact that can be used to perfect the ombré brow technique or mixed together to customize your own brow shade. Featuring a buildable formula in 11 different shade duos, Brow Powder Duo is ideal for creating everything from natural-looking brows to full, dramatic brows.

Secondly, ABH (which I’ve been wanting to try for a long time). The ANASTASIA Beverly Hills – ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo was a huge disappointment. I’m not sure what I was expecting but it just didn’t look flattering on me. For $23 you get a two-shade compact of brow powder. This may just be me because it has great reviews on Ulta but it just didn’t stick to my brows the way the Benefit did. I felt like I really had to work it into my brows to get the payoff that I wanted. This kind of sits in the back of my brow drawer and I never touch it.
