The Top Five 2022 Beauty Goals

A new year always brings with it hope and a refreshed sunny disposition. It’s the perfect time to reevaluate where we are in life and think about what we want from the new year! With 2021 being exceptional ~unprecedented~, a lot of us are hoping 2022 can be our saving grace.

While the times won’t suddenly change just because the year has, we can still work towards our own personal goals! Our community was quick to share their beauty goals for the new year and here are the top 5:

5. Have more fun with makeup!

With the pandemic keeping us sheltered at home, a lot of us beauty lovers lost our motivation to get creative with makeup. 2022 could bring an end to staying at home, so it’s time to get our makeup muscles right! A common resolution with our users is to have more fun with makeup, even if there’s nowhere to go—yet!

My New Years Beauty Resolutions ⭐️💫💥🔥

Coming to you with no filter, no edits, straight off the camera roll fierceness 😌 pictures like this make me remember how fun playing in beauty products can be. For 2022 I have finally started to lay out my resolutions for the next year (and beyond!)

🧑🏽‍🎨 Makeup:

Have more fun!
I mastered the no makeup makeup and called it a day 🤣 I want to learn more about neon eyeliners, bright lips and fun blush

4. Stay consistent with a skincare routine

An important part of any and every skincare routine is consistency. We don’t usually know if something is working for us until using it for 3 months, so that product you dismissed because it didn’t do anything might’ve just needed more time with you!

HAPPY NEW YEARS BABES 🎆

I hate the cliche phrase “new year new me” because it’s so unrealistic. So every New Years I make a list and narrow it down to things that are actually obtainable.

My goals:

Stay consistent with my skincare: Consistency is 🔑! You have to stay with a routine or product to see results. One thing I see a lot of are bad reviews for products because they didn’t work there are only a handful of products the yield “immediate results”. Some take 4-12 weeks and that’s with consistent, *proper* use.

3. Take care of our mental well-being

Beauty is so much more than how we look, it’s also how we feel. Taking care of your mental wellbeing IS self-care and IS beautiful. Take the time to journal, or do yoga to protect your peace.

My resolutions goals for the New Year!

Beauty, Health, and Wellness goals for 2022

I’ve never made resolutions. But I do love to write out a nice goal list at the beginning of each year. I make separate areas for different types of goals then list 1 to 3 things I want to accomplish.

Normally, I use that list to break each goal down into smaller, more immediate goals in my yearly planner. But 2021 was such a complete and total waste that 2022 isn’t getting a planner. At least not until it proves itself.

Here are some of my goals for 2022:

Wellness
🧘‍♀️Yoga practice EVERY day in 2022. I was on a streak of a few months in 2021 then I got sick, had surgery, and it all went out the window. I’m going to get back on track in 2022!

So, that’s it!! I have other goals too – Like don’t murder my husband in his sleep when he snores – but these are the good ones 🤪

What about you? What are your goals? Do you make a list??

2. Workout more!

Movement is such an important part of our overall health, and our overall health is a big player in our skin health. Health is wealth, so it’s no wonder why so many of our users resolved to work out more!

CHEERS TO NEW YEARS, AND NEW GOALS 🥂

This year has been a crazy one,
And I think like most people I am excited to put it in the rearview

A not so Fun fact, Ontario actually went into ‘lockdown’ on my 25th birthday so you can imagine this wasn’t the year I had planned for.

But a new year offers so much promise and potential, and I’m excited to redirect my energy in a more positive way!

Here are a few of my resolutions:

Dedicating more time to movement; This year turned my life upside down, my work, which gives me a large sense of purpose was shut down for almost 9 months. The career goals I’d been chasing that were finally in front of me all got cancelled or postponed indefinitely and as an extrovert, all the things that give me energy were considered unsafe. Which for the first time in 25 years caused me to have frequent and debilitating panic attacks, to the point of needing medication. I found that movement and exercise really helped burn the energy that can sometimes hurl me into panic if it gets too pent up but had a hard time finding the motivation last year. But this year I plan to make it a priority!

1. Make more sustainable beauty choices!

An important and necessary resolution, making more sustainable beauty choices was the #1 goal for so many users. From buying fewer products, to choosing sustainable brands, to actually emptying out products before we toss them, and even to finding a new purpose in packaging, there are so many ways we can be more earth-conscious in our beauty journey.

Hey Beauty’s 🙋🏽‍♀️

It’s NYE tomorrow here in Australia 🇦🇺 and I thought I’d share my health and wellness resolutions for 2022 😁

🧚‍♀️ Buy sustainable products that consider the environment and work for my issues too. There are so many clean brands and with no real definition around clean beauty, it can be confusing. For me, it’s also buying local because of the air freight pollution factor. I guess no more Wish bargains in 2022. 🙃
